Following is an example of social-letter layout using full-block style. Compare it to business-letter layout with respect to the return address, 'forwarding' address, signature, referral information, punctuation and abbreviations.

What an exciting place this university is! I've already met so many interesting people, the courses are thrilling beyond belief, and I believe one of the professors actually knows my name already! Or at least when saw from the class register that my name was 'Sally Zappa' he asked me if my mother had long blonde curly hair and had been at a place called 'Woodstock' the summer before I was born. Mom, is there something I should know about this?
Dad, I checked under the grandstand at the stadium but I didn't see any graffiti saying 'Seymour Butts was here, 1975'. I think they must have painted the stands since then.
My new address is above. This is a nicer place than where I'd lived before the riot last week.
By the way, I need to buy a lot of new books for my courses, and also new shoes for the homecoming dance next weekend. Could you send another $500 this week?
