How to apply for a Master's Degree programme through UAF?

Before applying through UAF, please read carefully:

• description and admission criteria of the programme you apply for
• instructions on required enclosures
• instructions on language requirements

UAF Application

Register

Please register by clicking the blue box on the right. You can register and create My UAF user account even though there is no ongoing application period and select the fields of study you are interested in.

Create your Application Form

Select the degree programme you apply for and enter the requested information. You can only apply for programmes which you are eligible for. If you do not have a first cycle degree (Bachelor), you can not apply to second cycle (Master) level studies. It is possible that with the choices you made, there are no programmes you can apply for.

If you wish to change your personal information or educational background, you can log in to your My UAF user account and correct it yourself even if you have already created the PDF Application Form.

Be advised that once you have compiled your application form into pdf-format, you cannot make any changes to it. Hence, we advise you to fill in your answers carefully and with thought, before compiling it.

Print and sign your Application Form

Collect all the enclosures required by the programme (listed on the Application Form)

Mark down your Application Form number into every document, as well as, onto the lower left corner of the envelope. If you use a courier service, please write down University Admissions Finland’s phone number +358 (0)9 191 23528 on the courier shipping slip.

Send your Application to UAF by post or courier

University Admissions Finland only accepts printed applications sent by mail. This means that your application form becomes an application only after

• you have printed and signed it AND
• enclosed the required enclosures to it AND
• sent it by post or courier to University Admissions Finland's office AND
• it has reached the University Admissions Finland's office by the deadline.

No e-mail attachments will be accepted. All documents are processed in the order of their arrival.

After your documents have been processed at University Admissions Finland, you will receive an e-mail notification from UAF. If necessary they will ask you to supplement your application. You can keep track of your application status by logging in to your My UAF user account.

When contacting University Admissions Finland or the university, please always refer to your Application Form number. It is printed on the top right corner of the Application Form. You can also keep track of your application status by logging in to your My UAF user account.

After processing, your application will be sent to the University of Tampere for academic assessment. University Admissions Finland does not take part in the student selection process and cannot therefore give you any information on the selection results.
