Those accepting the offered study place must return the confirmation form and register at the University of Tampere by the deadlines stated in the Letter of Acceptance.
New students who do not send the confirmation form and register by the deadlines will lose their right to study. To regain it, a new selection process is needed.
No enquiries concerning student selection will be answered during the selection process.
The University of Tampere reserves the right to cancel the start of the programme if there are not enough eligible candidates.
For the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes taught in English, the University of Tampere receives the preprocessed application documents from the University Admissions Finland service (UAF).
Students will be selected on the basis of their application documents - there is no entrance examination and no fixed quota for international students at the University of Tampere. The decisions on acceptance of international students are made by the school concerned. The number of accepted students is based on the resources available in the school in question.
The competition is high as the number of eligible applications annually exceeds the number of students that can be accepted. Please be assured that all applicants will be treated equally on the basis of their qualifications and abilities in relation to the programme of study applied for.
If you are accepted at the University of Tampere, a Letter of Acceptance will be sent to you on 15 May at the latest. Unsuccessful applicants will also receive notification. Names of successful applicants who have given permission to announce their names online can be viewed on the Admission results page.
If an applicant considers that a clear mistake has been made in the admission procedure s/he may ask the School Management Board to reconsider its decision. A written request addressed to the Management Board of the School in question must reach the University Registry within 14 days from the official publication of the results (+ 7 additional days for delivery if sent from outside Finland). The request must be sent to the following address: University Registry (Kirjaamo), FI-33014 University of Tampere, Finland.
