The right to study as a non-degree student is intended for those who are pursuing further studies in order to improve their professional competence or to supplement earlier studies. Non-degree students study separate study modules or course units and they are not entitled to pursue a degree. The right to study as a non-degree student is granted for a certain period of time.
As non-degree studies do not lead to a degree, it may be difficult to obtain a residence permit for this purpose unless you are a resident of an EU/EEA country. Therefore, non-degree studies are recommended only for applicants residing in Finland or in other EU/EEA countries. Non-degree student's right to study is restricted to that subject or study module they have been granted the right to study. Non-degree students pay fees in accordance to the number of credits they have been granted the right to study. The fee is ten euros per credit.

Application period: 15 March - 15 April 2013 at 16.15 local time
