8. ENCLOSURES

Unless your documents are issued in English, Finnish, or Swedish, the official translation into one of these languages must accompany. The translations must be issued by the applicant's home institution or done by a certified translator (notary public) appointed by the competent regional authority. Please submit the listed enclosures according to the instructions on submitting enclosures by the following deadlines:
15 May (autumn arrivals)
15 October (spring arrivals)

  1. Statement of Purpose (max. 2 pages)
  2. Official transcript of your university records, i.e. issued by your home university
  3. Certificate of knowledge of English

    a) written by your teacher of English at your home university (exchange students)

    b) official score report of an internationally recognised language test (visiting students):
    - TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language; 90/Internet-based;575/paper-based
    - IELTS, International English Language Testing System; 6.5 with no individual score below 5.5
    .

    On Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR the test scores correspond to the level B2.

    Erasmus students and applicants who are pursuing a degree programme conducted in English in one of the following countries are exempt from the language certificate: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. All Erasmus students are expected to have sufficient knowledge of the English language and the sending Erasmus partner should ensure that this is the case.

ISEP students do not need to send the above listed enclosures as they are already included in the ISEP Application package we receive from the Central ISEP Office.

In addition, visiting students are required to enclose:

  1. Certificate of Attendance from the home university confirming that you are enrolled as a degree student
  2. References or Letter of Recommendation from the home university
