Under the terms of the national JOO agreement, a person who is a registered degree student at one of the Finnish Universities is entitled to apply to complete a part of their studies at any other Finnish University (excluding universities of applied sciences). The studies should be of a nature which a student would not be able to undertake in his/her home institution, but which would be appropriate to incorporate in the student’s degree programme. Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students come within the terms of the agreement. The student will not be required to pay any fees at the host university if the right to study is granted under the terms of the JOO agreement.
The University of Tampere may grant a student the status of JOO student only if the student’s home university supports the application. To obtain a statement of acceptance, the student must first contact the person responsible for JOO applications at his/her own university.
For application forms and application deadlines of universities, please see the JOO web site of Finnish Virtual University.
