Accommodation

Student housing in the Tampere area is mainly administrated by the Tampere Student Housing Foundation (TOAS), which maintains and rents out student accommodation. Unfortunately, not all new students can be guaranteed TOAS accommodation. Also other options for finding accommodation are available for accepted students. Annually in the spring, we place information on different options on the University website at:

Finding suitable housing can be difficult especially in the autumn, so once you have been accepted to study at UTA please be prompt in applying for accommodation. When coming to study at UTA for one semester only, we encourage you to come for the spring semester instead of the autumn semester. Students coming for the spring semester or for both semesters do not face any difficulties in terms of housing.
