Accommodation

Finnish universities do not have on-campus dormitories. In larger cities, there are apartments rented for students by a housing foundation. Housing for students in Tampere is administrated by the Tampere Student Housing Foundation (TOAS). TOAS accommodation is located in many parts of the city.

In addition to TOAS housing, students can apply for accommodation in the private market. UTA has arranged for its students to apply for housing in a convenient way from a private company Forenom. Forenom specializes in temporary accommodation solutions and offers furnished apartments with shared rooms.

In the beginning of the academic year,  the association Opiskelijan Tampere offers temporary emergency accommodation for those who have possibly not been successful with getting housing.
