Pre-arrival Checklist

• It is it is very important to apply for accommodation from the TOAS Housing Office and pay the reservation fee as soon as you have been accepted. The instructions have been sent to you along with your Letter of Acceptance. They are also available at: http://www.toas.fi/en
• Apply for a residence permit at a Finnish consulate or embassy in your country of residence. The EU/EEA nationals register their right to reside in Finland at a police department if their stay exceeds three months. Further information
• A medical insurance policy is required when you apply for a residence permit. EU nationals should obtain a European Health Insurance Card from the national social security organisation in their home country. Medical insurance is highly recommended for EU nationals, too.

• Please contact your student tutor as early as possible by e-mail and let him/her know when you will be arriving.
• Please remember to take your Letter of Acceptance with you, as you will need it when you enrol at the Registrar’s Office.
