At the University of Tampere, a student tutor is assigned to every exchange and visiting student and degree student at Master's and Bachelor's level. The tutor is a fellow student who has volunteered to guide you through the first weeks.
Your student tutor comes usually from the student organisation of your study field and he/she will be happy to give you a piece of advice before your arrival in Finland. Your tutor will contact you by e-mail during the summer. You may agree with the tutor that he/she will meet you at the railway or bus station in Tampere at arrival, but, unfortunately, the tutor can not pick you up from the airport. Alternatively, you can meet your tutor at the University tutor when you pick up your enrolment papers from the International Office.
Once you arrive in Tampere, your student tutor may help you, e.g.:
Please note that your tutor may be giving guidance to more than one international student.
For more information, please contact the International Office.
