Dear Recipient,

Welcome to the NordMedia 2017 conference in August. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

If you have not registered yet, please do so as soon as possible. Those who would like to present their paper are kindly asked to register until end of June. Please register yourself or a group using this form:
Read more about registration here.

Session programs

Session programs for divisions and temporary working groups can be found on our website under each division/TWG description:

Please revise the schedule of your own division/TWG. From the program, you can see appointments to discussants too.

All abstracts will be published on the conference website at the beginning of August.

Submission guidelines for full papers

Please submit your full paper using the form below by 30th of June 2017.

Full paper submissions must be addressed to the same conference division or temporary working group where the accepted abstract was submitted earlier.

The full paper can be devised either as an extended abstract (around 3000 words) or as a draft paper that resembles a scientific journal article (maximum 7000 words).

In order to provide quality feedback for the authors and to stimulate fruitful conversation in conference groups, the full papers will be made available for the participants of the specific conference division or working group they are going to be presented in.

The full papers will not be published by the organizers of the NordMedia conference. Authors have the option to separately submit their papers to one of the scientific journals that have expressed their interest in publishing NordMedia conference papers, assuming they pass their review process.

General Guidelines for NordMedia 2017 Conference Discussants

A discussant will be assigned to each accepted paper. The chair and the co-chairs of each division are collectively responsible for the appointment of discussants.

After each presentation, the assigned discussant will have 5 minutes to present his or her comments. Then there will be 5 minutes reserved for general discussion.

The written copy of the discussant’s comments to the presenter is not required, even though we encourage discussants to give their feedback also in writing.

Practical information

August will be a busy tourist season in Tampere, so now it is a good time to book your flights and accommodation

Conference participants are asked to make their own hotel reservations and pay for their own accommodation. Pre-reservations have been made to the nearby hotels listed on our website, but the availability of the rooms can only be guaranteed for a limited time. Please check the deadlines and booking codes for reservations mentioned in each hotel information.
