The  Doctoral Programme of Communication Studies (VITRO) is a national, multidisciplinary doctoral school which studies the whole field of communication, media and information studies.
VITRO is coordinated by the School of Communication, Media and Theatre at the University of Tampere. VITRO was previously known as the Doctoral Programme of Communication Studies, (CORE).

VITRO is directed by professor Mikko Lehtonen (mikko.s.lehtonen AT uta.fi) and coordinated by Dr. Sanna Kivimäki (sanna.k.kivimaki AT uta.fi).

Whenever possible, the seminars and lectures offered  by VITRO are open to all postgraduate students.
