Student Award of the Nordic Ergonomic Society 2006
NES has as its final goal to spread knowledge about the interaction between human and the environment one is living and working within, and to encourage development of such knowledge by elaborating the environment, equipment and processes. The respect to the need and the qualification of the human, safety and health are central intermediate aims.
Nordic Ergonomic Society will award a STUDENT AWARD for the best examination work. The following requirements must be fulfilled:
• A report of the examination work must be approved within the period 01.01.2005- 01.06.2006 from a Nordic higher education school or university or another post- secondary school education.
• The work must not be a licentiate or doctor dissertation,
• The language must be Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic, Finnish or English. Independent of the language an English summary (abstract) must be enclosed
• The examination work can be worked out by one or several persons.
• With an aim to encourage newcomers to the field of ergonomics only person below the age of 35 years qualify for the Student award.
The work must be sent in 2 copies together with the English summary and a short motivation from the proposer (the supervisor or student) to the address below. The contribution should be mailed electronically, preferably in PDF-format. A jury is judging the examination work as a professional evaluation in relation to the educational level. The decision of the jury cannot be brought before a Court.
The award donee (s) gets a diploma and a one year membership in the national ergonomic society. The award donee, or if there are more award donees, a representative from the group gets a free participation (conference fee incl. board and lodging in addition to travel expenses at the cheapest way) to the NES-conference 24-27.9.2006 in Hämeenlinna, Finland.
Furthermore, the award donees are expected to present their work at the conference.
The contribution MUST be at the Scientific Secretariat no later than 15.6.2006.
