Gala Dinner

Join us for the Gala Dinner at gourmet restaurant Tammer at the legendary Hotel Tammer. The building breathes the splendour and elegance of the 1920s and 30s. A seated three course dinner will be served. Reser life time awards will be given. Entertainment music. This is an event not to be missed!

Excursion & City Tour

We begin the sightseeing tour in the city center - you’ll enjoy some stunning views of the surrounding lakes on Pyynikki Ridge, and the picturesque old wooden houses of the idyllic Pispala district. The tour continues with a visit to Tampere Cathedral, a National Romantic masterpiece, which with its fascinating frescos will tell you more about the history of the Finnish people than any written work.

After the city tour we will come to the Old City of Tampere, the Finlayson area. Lunch will be served at the Finlayson’s Restaurant.

The tour will be concluded to Technology Center Hermia Ltd, which promotes the emergence of new technology-oriented business and the development of competitiveness in the fields of mechanical engineering and automation and in ICT clusters. It is responsible for the coordination of the Tampere Region Centre of Expertise Programme and the implementation of centres of expertise for the key clusters. Hermia lies in Hervanta Area where also Nokia Research Center is located.

The organizers reserve the right to cancel the tour if there are not enough participants. The tour starts from Tampere Hall.

Open Air Concert and Dinner
Saturday 15 September at 18.30-

When the evenings grow darker in September, an illuminated open air concert will take place in the revolving auditorium of the Pyynikki Summer Theatre. The concert will feature stage music composed by Jean Sibelius in 1905 for Maurice Maeterlinck's fairy tale drama Pelléas and Mélisande. However, this concert will not follow the script of the play or even directly reference the fairy tale; we trust in the expressive power of pure music and the natural scenery of Pyynikki. The performance will be brought to you by an elite group of artists from Tampere. The majority of the 14 musicians are members of the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra. The evening will be completed by a festive harvest season dinner in the area of the Summer Theatre cafeteria (open air). For more information see the pdf attachment.
