The Finnish Social Science Data Archive, which is located in the Virta building, archives and stores electronic research data, offers information services pertaining to the data and shares the data for scientific research, teaching and study purposes. The Aila Data Service provides access to data archived at FSD. Aila contains over 1,260 datasets, the majority of which are quantitative data. All of the basic services provided by FSD are free of charge.

The exhibition at the EDUsta Gallery presents the core services of FSD, the personnel and the latest service innovation, Tietomilli, which makes the data more easily available for also others than researchers and students.
