The event is one in the series of events under an Erasmus+ Project: Governance and Academic Leadership of Chinese and European Universities in the Context of Innovation and Internationalization (LEAD).

The workshop is free of charge.  Registration has ended on April 15, 2017.

The total number of participants to the workshop is 80. We will close the registration when the places are fully taken.

The LEAD project is aimed to provide unique training, workshops and role-model learning opportunities for university management teams, and an exchange platform between European and Chinese partners. This will facilitate and speed up the internationalization processes of HEIs, especially in the area of academic governance and leadership. See more about the project at http://lead-project.org  

In the workshop of Tampere, the discussions will focus on the following three themes:

  • The Role of HEIs in regional innovation systems and economic development
  • Structural transformation within universities for strengthening the university’s societal engagement
  • Management and academic leadership in EU-China higher education cooperation
