University of Tampere, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, and Tampere University of Technology are to enter into cooperation negotiations concerning the staff of the libraries and language centres.
The reason behind these negotiations is the collaboration between University of Tampere, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, and Tampere University of Technology. The integration of library and language centre operations is being considered as part of this collaboration.
The employers will begin the negotiations with the union representatives on 10 April 2017. The cooperation negotiations will cover the human resources impacts and work duty rearrangements caused by the organisational changes.
The dismissal, lay-offs or part-time arrangements of employees will not be on the agenda in the cooperation negotiations. Instead, the aim of the negotiations is to work together with employees to find solutions to changes in organisational practices. Decisions will be made after the negotiations have concluded. Planned measures will come into force by 1 January 2019 at the latest.
