PEACE, the Master’s Degree Programme in Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research hosted by TAPRI, the Peace Research Centre of the University of Tampere, received international recognition when it was selected as one of the ten top degree programmes on conflict resolution and peacebuilding in the world by the Peacekeeper website. The PEACE programme is included in a list of degree programmes offered by highly esteemed universities in the United States and the United Kingdom.

TAPRI is an international multidisciplinary research centre, which in addition to offering the PEACE programme conducts high-quality research on wars, conflicts and peace processes.

Marko Lehti, docent, university researcher and the academic leader of the PEACE programme, says that this visibility is great considering that the programme is relatively new and has limited resources. He says that the place on the list of the Peacekeeper.org website, which is associated with the UN, is excellent and believes that the internationality of PEACE will further increase because of transnational education.
