
Applying to a doctoral programme of the University of Tampere takes place twice a year (in April and October), with some exceptions. Please check the application procedure from your doctoral programme web pages (see links below). The application round is open on 2 April - 30 April 2013 at 15.45. (Finnish time).
According to the University Strategy the most promising students are selected for doctoral training on the basis of applications and they are ensured high quality and systematic doctoral training and high quality supervision. The University Doctoral School will declare application open and the doctoral programmes and the doctoral education committees of the Schools are responsible for the details of student selection.
The Schools of the University decide on degree regulation such as curricula, application process, dissertation process and other regulation. Every prospective doctoral student should consult his/her School well in advance to an application round.
