Important E-mail lists for doctoral students
Every School has it's own email list for doctoral students. All students are adviced to join their School's list right from the start of their studies by contacting the person in charge of School's doctoral training issues. (see the list in Applying for doctoral studies -website). Doing this ensures that you receive up-to-date information on up-coming courses & seminars, on enrollment etc.
University of Tampere Doctoral School has email list tutkijakoulu(at)uta.fi . The list is used to inform students and personnel for example on courses in joint doctoral studies. The list also includes every doctoral email lists of the Schools (see above). Also supervisers of the theses can join tutkijakoulu@uta.fi -list (see below how to join the list).
UTAJATKOT(at)uta.fi is an open, common information list for the UTA doctoral students (see below how to join the list).
Join an email-list by sending a message to listserv@uta.fi. Leave the headline of the message empty and write in the first line of the text field SUBSCRIBE listname Firstname Lastname.
