Internationalisation in Doctoral Studies

For doctoral studies, it is possible to  include research periods or studies abroad. Such international periods can assist you in strengthening your professional skills as well as finding useful contacts and new perspectives to conducting your research. If you are interested in studying or doing research abroad during your doctoral training, contact your supervisor to discuss options best suited for you. If you wish to participate in international conferences, you can apply for funding from your own school, field-specific doctoral programme or Tampere University Foundation. There are also other foundations and associations that grant funding for international conference trips, for instance the Finnish Work Environment Fund.
