Responsibilities in doctoral training The Research Council and the University Doctoral School
|
Doctoral training at the University of Tampere takes the form of doctoral programmes implemented in the Schools. Each School is responsible for the content and teaching on the doctoral programme and also grants the doctoral degree. For each doctoral programme there are clearly defined objectives, scientific content, teaching and supervisory resources and a professor in charge. Doctoral programmes may be those within one School or shared between several Schools. Training can also be arranged as co-operation with other universities, research institutes, business life and international networks.
