The Methods Festival is a multidisciplinary event organised every second year by the Universities of Jyväskylä and Tampere. Breaking away from the classic academic conference model, the Festival brings together leading international and national experts across a wide range of disciplines to raise issues and discuss current themes in research methodology.
The courses, parallel sessions, lectures, and panels during the two-day Festival engage researchers, doctoral students and methodology teachers alike to develop their skills and knowledge, and provides opportunities for joint discussion and debate.
The University of Tampere Doctoral School has been actively involved in the organising of the festival from the year 2009. This year 2013, the festival is organised in the University of Jyväskylä.
