
The University of Tampere renewed its organizational structure at the turn of 2011. The faculty and department structures were replaced by nine schools. Some independent institute functions were transferred to the new schools and to administration.

Tampere University Library is a multidisciplinary scientific library
open to everyone. The Library supports the whole University community and its goals by
providing information, content and publishing services for researchers,
teachers and students. The Library offers a learning environment for study and research with IT facilities, rooms for group work, and teaching labs.

The Language Centre provides teaching for all students of the
University in the official domestic languages as well as in foreign
languages, to support them both in their studies and future
professional careers.

The Finnish Social Science Data Archive (FSD) is a national resource
centre for social science research and teaching. FSD provides a variety
of services ranging from data archiving and dissemination to
information service. Its primary goal is to increase the use of
existing social science data in Finland and internationally.
