Textbook reading room open around the clock for students

The textbook reading room in the Main Library is open 24 hours/day for the students at Tampere University. The entrance to the reading room is located on the YTHS-side of Linna-building.

The student needs a key card to enter the reading room and walk out of the reading room when the library is closed. The key card is included in a student card or it is a separated card.

The round-the-clock opening hours of the textbook reading room is a pilot project during the fall semester. If there is any disorder in the reading room, the project will be brought down the curtain. There is electronic surveillance in the reading room.

There are not overnight loans from the textbook reading room during September. The possibility to borrow a book over the night will be started during October.

There is no service during the night time.
