Principal lecturer Ulla-Maija Koivula (PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences) gives a guest lecture on Finnish Welfare Society at the University of Tampere (UTA), PINNI B -building, room B1096 on Wednesday 15 October at 18:15-19:45.
Ulla-Maija Koivula, Lic. in Soc. Sc., has been involved in various development co-operation projects in e.g. Nepal, Kosovo and Azerbaijan in relation to developing social services. She is working as a principal lecturer and coordinator of international affairs at PIRAMK. She is also the responsible teacher of an English Degree Programme in Social Services.
The lecture is part of the lecture series "Finnish Society and Culture (SITR)" and is organised by the Studying in Tampere Region Project.
The lecture series is specially designed for international students and staff who wish to know more about the Finnish Society and Culture. The main purpose is to introduce the listeners to the society and culture of contemporary Finland and to give them an idea of the development and cultural, political and economic background of one of the Nordic welfare states.
