Lecturer Ari Vanamo (TAMK / Degree Programme in Forestry) gives a guest lecture on Finnish forests and forestry at the University of Tampere (UTA), PINNI B -building, room B1100 on Wednesday 19 November at 18:15-19:45.
70 % of Finland´s area is covered with forests. Forests have a major economic and social importance to the Finns.
The guest lecture is part of the lecture series "Finnish Society and Culture (SITR)" and is organised by the Studying in Tampere Region Project.
The lecture series is specially designed for international students and staff who wish to know more about the Finnish Society and Culture. The main purpose is to introduce the listeners to the society and culture of contemporary Finland and to give them an idea of the development and cultural, political and economic background of one of the Nordic welfare states.
