Shrovetide Gala to celebrate Valentine's Day

This year the Shrovetide Gala will be held in the Pinni B Building on St. Valentine's Day, 14 February. We can look forward to a certain aura of glamour and echoes of the Oscar Gala.

The programme is to include the traditional banquet, auction of works of art, dancing and late-night karaoke. Guests will also have an opportunity to try their luck in the Casino. Performers include the Torvikopla Big Band, and the Vesa Toivonen Union Orchestra. Our auctioneer this year will be none other than the one and only Mr. Tommy Tabermann. The Gala MCs will be Professor Hanna Suutela and Professor Ilari Karppi.

The Shrovetide Gala is a great way to show hospitality to your co-operation partners and personnel. The proceeds will be used to support the work of young researchers.
