The International Postgraduate Programme in Epidemiology (IPPE) invites applications

The International Postgraduate Programme in Epidemiology (IPPE) is a doctoral training and research program for international epidemiologically oriented students and researchers aiming at a PhD degree in epidemiology. The aim of the programme is to increase the knowledge and understanding of essential public health problems especially in low-income countries and to train epidemiological public health experts to work within administration, planning and research.

IPPE takes place at the Tampere School of Public Health which is an independent education and research institute within the University of Tampere. Prospective students should hold a master's degree in a relevant area of study such as medicine, public health or biostatistics. The working language of the program is English and the duration of the theoretical training is one academic year (September to May). The studies start in late August, 2009. NOTE! Deadline for applications March 15, 2009.
