Tatte: Information on Legal and Social Rights at Workplace

The Tampere University Association of Researchers and Teachers (Tatte) invites all foreign scholars and teachers to an information and discussion event on legal and social rights at work on Wednesday 18 March at 12–14.

Guest speaker Riku Matilainen from the Finnish Union of University Researchers and Teachers (FUURT) will discuss: 

• University salary system (YPJ)
  
• Short term contracts – obligations and rights
  
• Vacation rights
  
• Unemployment benefits and income support system
• The role of the union
  

There will also be discussion on matters such as work permits, immigration, equality, work safety, sickness benefits and taxation in Finland.

The event is held in English. It will take place in Kahveri, Room B05 at the Main Building (Floor 0). Participants should enrol by 16 March.
