What is it?
Interlibrary services supply books and article copies from other libraries to patrons. You can ask for material which is not owned by Tampere University libraries (main libray or department libraries).
How does it work?
Requests can be sent online, or you can leave the loan request at the circulation desk or at Interlibrary services. Please check the library charges for interlibrary loans.
When the loan arrives you will get an email. You can pick up the loan from the circulation desk where you can also pay it. Circulation terms, e.g., loan period, home and/or in-house loans, are based on rules issued by the owner library. If the loan is an in-house loan, you can use it at the 3rd floor in Linna after paying.
Interlibrary loans can be returned at the circulation desk.
The Interlibrary Services is located at the first floor in Linna. Service hours are from 1 pm to 3 pm during weekdays. Email: ykauko@uta.fi.
Renewals?
Interlibrary loans do not show on Patron window in Tamcat. It is possible to renew interlibrary loans by sending a message to ykauko@uta.fi or calling 03-3551 7990.
