Professor Pirkko Pitkänen joins EU-India mobility expert group

Professor Pirkko Pitkänen, Department of Education, has been nominated by the European Commission as a member of an international ad hoc academic expert group on EU-India mobility.

Four distinguished academics from India and the European Union have been invited to present their views on the India-EU Mobility Partnership; to present their views on the structure such a partnership would preferably have; and to make recommendations for further work relevant to establishing and implementing the India-EU partnership, including detailed recommendations for further scholarly work. The ad hoc working group has been requested to present its recommendations by 30 September 2009.
