In April a Recycling Room was opened in the basement of E Wing (Room E 105).
This is maintained by the Ekocampus and unneeded goods with some useful life left in them can be left there. You can also pick up things that you need free of charge.
Examples of what you can leave in the Recycling Room include books, appliances that are in working order and anything else that is still useful. No clothes or shoes will be accepted. You can also bring eggboxes to be reused by the organic food producers.
The environmental branch of TAMY, the Student Union, also arranges an exchange market once a month on the Main Campus. This is held in the hallway of the Pinni B Building and operates on the same principle as the Recycling Room.
How to use the University Recycling Room
The Recycling Room is maintained by Ms. Saana Raatikainen, the Environmental Coordinator.
