A meeting of the University personnel voting category II

The interim collegiate body of the University, in keeping with the new Universities Act, has duly determined that the new University Board shall comprise 11 members, six of whom shall be elected from within the University according to the tripartite principle. Two representatives are to be elected from each category.

Personnel belonging to category II (teachers, researchers and other personnel) will meet to discuss the matter on Monday 24 August 2009 at 15.15 in lecture theatre K103 in the Linna Building.

The new board will be elected at the turn of August and September and will convene that same autumn. It will choose a new Rector to serve for a period not exceeding five years, approve the new Regulations and finalize the 2010 budget.
