Tampere Peace Research Institute invites applications for the 2010 TAPRI research grant. The grant is 15 600 Euros (1 300 Euros per month).
The focus of TAPRI's present research programme is on the issues of peaceful change. The main projects are dealing with new security challenges, such as international crisis-management and Europe's relations with its nearby regions. Information on ongoing research can be found on TAPRI's homepage. The applicant's research project should relate to TAPRI's research programme. Doctoral students are prioritized.
Applicants should submit, as part of their applications, the following documents
- curriculum vitae or a verified record of merits
- list of publications
- copies of academic degree certificates
- information on language skills
- an informal, well-argued research plan
All the above mentioned documents should be submitted in Finnish, Swedish or English.
Applicants are expected to have at least an M.A. level degree. The researcher to be awarded with the grant is expected to carry out her/his research at TAPRI.
Assessment of research proposals is entrusted to the Board of the Institute for Social Research. Applications should be addressed to the Board of the Institute for Social Research and sent by
