An electronic access system is to be introduced in the Atalpa Building which will operate on the personal cards issued to staff and students. The system is scheduled for a trial run in summer 2010 alongside stickers.
In autumn the traditional Atalpa stickers will be replaced by electronic access. Fees paid by the year or by the term will be loaded onto staff and student cards or then onto a card available from Atalpa against deposit. For students all cards paid for by giro will automatically function on the electronic reading device and others can activate their cards at the reception on arrival.
