Tampere Peace Research Institute invites applications

TAPRI Bourse de Recherches
Tampere Peace Research Institute (TAPRI) invites applications for the 2011 TAPRI research grant. The grant is 20.000 euro.
The focus of TAPRI's present research programme is on the issues of peaceful change. The main projects are dealing with new security challenges, such as international crisis-management and Europe 's relations with its nearby regions. Information on ongoing research activities can be found on TAPRI's homepage (http://www.uta.fi/tapri). The applicant's research project should relate to TAPRI's research programme. The preparation of doctoral thesis might also be considered.
Applicants should submit, as part of their applications, the following documents:
- curriculum vitae with information on language skills and general culture
- list of publications
- informal, well-argued research plan
All the above mentioned documents should be submitted in Finnish, Swedish or English.
Applicants are expected to have at least an M.A. level degree. The researcher to be awarded with the grant is expected to carry out her/his research at TAPRI.
Assessment of research proposals is entrusted to the Board of the Institute for Social Research. Applications should be addressed to the Board of the Institute for Social Research, Tampere Peace Research Institute (TAPRI), and reach the registry by 1 November 2010 before 15h45 at the address:
