Members chosen for the boards of the new schools

Representatives of the professors, other personnel and students have been chosen to sit on the boards of the new schools to begin operations on 1 January 2011.

Representatives of the professors and other personnel were chosen by elections on 17 November. Some of the schools had come to agreement on their board members. The student representatives were elected by the Students' Union of the University of Tampere.

According to the University of Tampere Regulations, the board of a school is required to have a chairperson and not more than 12 members. Three of there are to be representatives of the professors, three are to be representatives of other personnel groups and three are to be representatives of the students. A board also includes 1–3 external members by invitation. They are to be chosen in spring 2011.

The boards are to serve for a term of three calendar years, in the case of student representatives two years.
