Stipends for post-graduate studies open for applications

Stipends (personal grants) for full-time post-graduates studies at the University of Tampere are open for applications. The applicant must have the University of Tampere post-graduate student status before the stipend can be used.

The funding is mainly granted as a one-year stipend and it is possible to get additional stipends in the following years. The amount of one-year stipend is 18 800 euros and it includes the funds for mandatory pension insurance (see details below). Stipend is paid as equal monthly installments and is tax-free to the recipient.

The stipend is to be used during the period 1.8. 2011 – 31.12. 2012.

Application form and the appendices (1 copy each) should be submitted to the University registry (address: Kalevantie 4, 33014 Tampereen yliopisto) no later than Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 15.45 o’clock.

The stipend decisions will be made by the end of April, 2011. Recipients will be informed personally.

The recipients of stipends must apply for pension insurance and insurance against accidents or occupational diseases if they work uninterruptedly for at least four months with a grant or scholarship (minimum amount 1149,45 € according to 2011 guidelines). The insurance application must be submitted within three months from the beginning of the stipend period to The Farmers' Social Insurance Institution Mela.
