Announcing the appointment of Katja Kannonlahti as chief information officer at the University of Tampere

Ms. Katja Kannonlahti, MA, journalist, has been appointed chief information officer at the University of Tampere. She will commence work on 1 March.

Ms. Kannonlahti completed a master’s degree at the University of Vaasa, majoring in communication studies.  Since 1998 she has worked for MTV Media, and currently produces and presents the breakfast show Huomenta Suomi.  She has also done newswork and newsreading and the current events programme 45 Minutes.

“Working at the University of Tampere offers an excellent vantage point.  The University abounds in knowledge, skills and knowhow, which offer me a chance to continually learn new things,” she says.
