
Election website now open on the intranet
The term of office of the 11-member Board of the University of Tampere will end on 31 December 2012. The 4 members representing the groupings of the university staff will be elected in an election that will be carried out electronically in October.
Further information can be obtained at the election website that is now open on the intranet. The election proclamation details the execution of the election, the timetable, and the stipulations and regulations that concern the election. The preliminary electoral roll will be published on Tuesday 2 October so that the University staff can check their right to vote (franchise) and their right to stand in the election (eligibility).
Two of the members representing the staff groupings will be elected from among the professors of the University and two from the grouping that represents all other staff.
Apart from the representatives of the University staff, who are elected in October, there are 5 external members in the Board who will be elected by the University Collegiate Body this autumn. The Student Union of the University of Tampere will also elect two representatives to the Board.
