University of Tampere joins a Christmas campaign

The University of Tampere does not post Christmas cards this year but donates the money to charity. The charity the University has decided to support is the Christmas campaign of the Tampere Chamber of Commerce.

The donation will be used to hire a goodwill ambassador to the Koukkuniemi home for the elderly. The goodwill ambassadors take the elderly people out and help them in other ways. At the same time the University facilitates a teenager’s summertime employment and his or her practical professional orientation.
