Institutional repositories

The University of Tampere has two institutional repositories. These repositories contain theses accepted by the University and various other publications produced by teachers and researchers. All the material is freely accessible online:

TamPub-repository includes dissertations of the University, e-publications and serials and self-archived articles of the staff of the University of Tampere.

Theses-repository contains Master’s and Licentiate Theses. Theses will be included in TamPub later.

Publishing fees

Like many other organizations, the University of Tampere supports its researchers by contributing to the publishing fees that some OA journals might require. For instance, the Tampere University Library pays a Supporter Member-subscription fee to BioMed Central, which entitles to a 15 % discount on publishing fees.
