Research Council of the University of Tampere

The current Research Council is nominated for the period 28.1.2011 - 31.7.2014. The Council is chaired by the Vice-Rector for research. The Head of Research Development acts as the secretary of the Council.

The tasks of the Research Council are:
-to support the Rector in directing and monitoring the implementation of the University's strategy;
-to implement the University's strategy and plan of action, and to support the University's management and units in the development of research and postgraduate education;
-to oversee the quality and ethical integrity of research and education and
-to prepare research related matters at the university level for decision-making processes.
