Orson Welles Retrospective
The Orson Welles retrospective is the this year's "must see"-event. It features
works rarely seen in Finland, including F for Fake (1973) and Filming Othello
(1978). The documentary Working with Orson Welles (1994) is Welles' co-worker
and friend Gray Graver's tribute to the master's life work.
The Orson Welles short film medley features some true rarities, such as the
debut film Hearts of Age (1934) and treats like a clip from the lost Merchant
of
Venice (1969) and the Lucy Show episode I love Lucy meets Orson Welles. The
event ends with a swig of Wells' commercials for the Japanese Nikka-whiskey.
