Kasimir Palm has graduated from the movie and TV course in the Voionmaa Institute in Ylöjärvi. Currently, Palm's time is divided among the Pirkanmaa Film Centre, Tampere Film Festival and working with immigrant boys.
The five screenings of Romany films to the Tampere Film Festival were gathered together by Kasimir Palm, Kari Lounela, and Raimo Silius. They could choose the best from the foreign short films but Palm had to dig up Finnish films and their makers.
Getting admitted to a film school is not an easy business. The lengthy application procedure has several stages, and only the most talented and vigorous applicants will be accepted to the school. Nonetheless, the preliminary assignments and the exhausting examination sessions don't put off the applicants who have a dream. Film and Television has been taught in the Institute of Design art college of Lahti Polytechnic for over two decades now.
