Academic Development Unit, ADU
The duty of the Academic Development Unit, ADU is to support the departments, faculties and administration of the University of Tampere to implement the strategy. The ADU also supports teachers, researchers and students in enhancing the quality of their teaching, studying, learning and research.
In the faculties and departments, teaching and research are closely connected. This basic principle of the university's strategy is also a central guideline for the ADU. The ADU organizes pedagogical training for the staff of the university. In addition, the unit provides consultative assistance to the departments in all educational development matters.
The academic development unit is also a member of several networks and working groups within the university and nationally. The agendas of the university's teaching and research councils are mainly prepared in the unit.
