The Higher Education Group (HEG) is a unit focusing on higher education research and teaching at the Department of Management Studies at the University of Tampere. We provide research and consultancy services to the higher education sector and stakeholders.

The research in HEG is consecrated on the topics of higher education management and finance. The Finnish Graduate School in Higher Education Administration, Management and Economics funded by the Finnish Academy is an important part of the research activities in HEG.

We  provide teaching in higher education management and leadership. Our teaching programmes include:

• Finnish non-degree programme offered as continuing training for administrators (KOHA)
• Finnish master programme (KOHAMA)
• International English joint master programme European Master in Higher Education (HEEM)

In addition, we offer tailored training services for special groups, such as the personnel of other higher education institutions.
