Origin of socioeconomic health differences from adolescence to early middle age

Occupational and educational careers of those who participated in the Adolescent Health and Lifestyle Survey has been followed up until early middle-age. The study aims at increasing understanding of the origin of socio-economic health differences, particularly how these differences are produced and maintained through the development and interaction of individual health and educational careers from adolescence to early middle age.

In project "Origin of socioeconomic health differences from adolescence to early middle age - Over-generational perspective", occupation and education of grandparents and parents are linked to the data of the Adolescent Health and Lifestyle Survey, with the purpose to study development of socioeconomic health differences over generations.

In addition, socioeconomic health differences were studied in the project “Tobacco epidemic and young people in Africa”.
