Asian Studies

Asian Studies is meant as an introductory study module for everyone interested in Asia. The module is open to all students in the four higher education institutions in Tampere: the University of Tampere, Tampere University of Technology, TAMK University of Applied Sciences and PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences. Modules in Asian Studies introduce students to, for example, contemporary Asian cultures, societies, politics, economies, and media. In addition, students can take courses in Chinese or Japanese. Students can take the whole Asian Studies module or choose some of the courses in the module, according to their timetables and requirements of their home university.

Application to the module

New application period for the Asian Studies module starting in the autumn 2011 will be organised in January 2011. More information about application procedures will be announced in December 2010.
